There are others that believe that when your body dies and your soul goes to heaven. That you will have no recollection of your life on earth. No memory of the people you loved and the things that you enjoyed doing the most. No memory of the things that made life worth living.
Now I was raised in the Catholic Church. I know, I know, shame on me. The Catholics believe that the life after death you will be reunited with your loved one's and with God. Vague,...kinda, but the intention here, as far as I'm concerned, is that you will remember.
Then there are religions such as the Pentecostals. According to my fiance, who is indeed Pentecostal, when you go to heaven you will not recognize your loved ones, nor remember your time on earth.
I'm having a hard time understanding why God would take away memories of the things you hold most dear. On the other hand I also don't understand why He would allow you to remember EVERY part of your life, mainly the things that you "need" to forget.
Again, I was raised Catholic, but I have a very open mind. On paper I'm Catholic. In real life I believe in a lot of things. I don't really "claim" one specific religion. I try to embrace all religious beliefs. So if you have any answers or ideas...or anything really, please make it known.
